Crop Top

crop topI never thought I could pull off a crop top. I mean, look at this guy. I don’t look like him!

Growing up, I was always most self-conscious about my stomach. It’s where I hold most of my weight. It’s the last thing to start toning out when I am getting in shape. I’m not shaped like a tiny slender stomached chick. I’m more athletic (when at my best) so only making major cuts and really going out of my way to work it make a difference.

I’ve gone on about this before.

But as I’ve gotten slowly more confident with my body and pushed the limits of my own shape… I’ve ventured out in my dress too. I’ve actually worn crop tops on occasion.

I feel so naughty for even admitting it! AH!

I’m from Indiana. We don’t wear crop tops there. I certainly never wore them or even considered such a dramatic clothing choice. But I’ve slowly let the land of the people who are more bold and confident with their body and clothing seep into my own thinking. I’m not saying my shirts are that short… but sometimes a little tummy can peek out. And I don’t get self-conscious. And I’m proud of that. Not because I look like a photoshopped fitness model. But because I look good. And I work on it.

But more importantly, I work constantly on being ok with me. So if that means wearing modest crop tops without embarrassment because they make me sort of feel like a rockstar, so be it. Bring on the scissors. I’ve got a tiny sliver of stomach to let peep out.

Ab Pic for Lil Wayne

As promised, last Friday for Lil Wayne’s birthday, I uploaded a picture of myself next to Weezy and Tupac.  Since this blog was the first to know about it, I wanted to make sure I shared it with you.

Happy Bday WeezyMy abs look aite. They’re not at Weezy level of strength or definition yet, but they don’t look all that bad. Good lighting, angles and filters help of course. But, for those of you who have read any other article on this blog, you know that I consider my stomach my weak point. So I’m pretty proud of the fact that I’m slowly but surely turning it into a strength.

I think the look on my face really makes the pic anyway.

And in case you’re wondering, I wrote “HAPPY BDAY WEEZY” on my stomach.

And in case you’re wondering, this is for my character personality B-Eazy (@BEazyHipHop).

And in case you’re wondering, yes, I might be insane.

Ab Challenge

In my alternative non-fitness life, I maintain a few weirdo personalities. Including this chick I’ve just revived from the dead named “B-Eazy” (@BEazyHipHop)

As you can see in her Twitter background, she loves rappers with ab tattoos. Specifically, she loves the pictures of Lil Wayne and Tupac showing off their ab tattoos.

B Eazy Abilicious

So I’m using this as an excuse. Lil Wayne’s birthday is September 27. Not far from now.

I’m gonna work my butt off at the gym and focus on abs every single workout. I’m gonna really watch what I eat and try to get cut.

Then, in honor of Lil Wayne’s Birthday, I’m gonna post my own B-Eazy ab tattoo picture. (It will be a fake tattoo, of course, but still…)

My stomach is the part of my body I’m least proud of. I’ve worked hard over the past several months to tone it and tame it. Posting an ab picture will be a big deal for me, even if it’s just for a silly alternative personality.

Wish me luck.

I miss carbs already.
