Actress, writer, and comedian Briana Hansen was born and raised in the Indianapolis who now happily resides in Los Angeles, California.

She studied political science and philosophy in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Chicago to pursue her for all things comedy. She studied and performed at The Second City, iO Chicago, and The Annoyance Theaters while creating her solo show, Femoir, which she premiered at The Second City Chicago.

After touring the country with Femoir, she up and moved to the sparkling seas of Los Angeles, where she studied improv and comedy at UCB, The Groundlings, and The Pack Theater. She produced Femoir again at The Second City Hollywood before turning it into a delightful iTunes podcast. She created and produced another podcast originally recorded live at The Hollywood Improv called Metaphysical Comedy. In addition, she toured internationally with her stand up comedy with The Hansen Comedy Tour.

She created, wrote, produced, and starred in the ambitious web series The Other Client List, which was features on various sites and festivals in early 2015.

She has contributed to Thought Catalogue, HelloGiggles, Cuteness.com, Work+Money.com, MsInTheBiz.com, Far&Wide.com, and FamilyMinded.com. She also works with Roadmap Writers to help educate and empower for burgeoning writers.

She filmed her first 40 minute stand up comedy special, Articulate Neanderthal, in September 2017. It is available on Amazon Prime.

She created the monthly sketch show Book Report at The Pack Theater and was a founding member of the house sketch team Very Famous. She performed with Westside Comedy Theater’s Mission: IMPROVable troupe both in LA and touring the country. She also wrote, produced, and stars in The Choose Your Own Sketch Show on AmazeVR, available on Oculus.

She has been featured on ComedyCentral, TruTV, and AmazonTV.

In addition to consistently tapping away at various TV and film projects, she is currently working on a comedic memoir about becoming a mom in the middle of a pandemic (with a fancy site to match: check out MommyMomMom.com) and educational, empowering lecture called Sex Rules.
